Oh baby baby baby. Little Miss Blayne is as beautiful as her mama, which is saying a lot! Mama and I go back, way back to middle school and nothing pleases me more than to see her grow into a loving wife and mother.

It was like a dream come true. Photograph a friend's perfect little newborn baby, in their stunning lake house with oodles of natural light, with parents beeming with pride. We'll overlook the fact that mama got totally poo bombed during a particular part of our photoshoot, and say the whole thing went off without a hitch. Hey, poo happens. We just wipe it off and mooooove on.

What I love about this whole session is that mama and daddy couldn't stop kissing babe. Toes, lips, fingers, head, nothing was off limits. And if there's anything I've learned since becoming a parent myself, it's that the urge to smooch your babies doesn't end when they're out of diapers...much to the kid's dismay. ha!

Parenthood is a journey filled with laughter, tears, frustrations, and most of all, unconditional love. I look forward to capturing all those emotions in the coming year of Miss Blayne. Until her next session, enjoy the newborn squishiness...
