Katie {class of '14}

A couple months ago I was seeking the Raddest 2014 Grad in the land.  To be considered rad, the nominee had to be part of their local community be it volunteering, participating in extra curriculars, or various other philanthropic efforts.  There were several phenomenal candidates but one jumped out at me.

Her name is Katherine and she hails from Milan, MI.  Per the words of her mom, who nominated her, read why Katie's so fabulous and was so deserving of a complimentary High School Senior Session with me:

"{Katie} is an amazing person, who is motivated and strives to always do her best.  Katie organized a food drive with her travel softball team to feed families for the holidays.  They collected over a 100 cans.  She donates her blood every 3 months to the Red Cross.  She has been a 6^th grade Camp Counselor and a student mentor.  She is a National Honor Society member and has been since her sophomore year.  She is involved with DECA and was President of this club last year.  She competed at the international level in California for DECA and placed in the top 16.  She plays Varsity Softball and Travel Softball and was captain of her team.  Katie’s travel team won the Most Valuable Team Award at the World Series of Softball this year 07/13.  The award honors the team that has the highest GPA and the most community involvement.  She is also on the Varsity Cheer team.  She works as a waitress in a local restaurant in her hometown of Milan.  While doing all this she carries a 4.2 grade point average.  Her teachers nominated her to go to Girls State. This is a high honor, it teaches girls to be leaders in their community and helps them learn how our government works.  She will dual enroll this year, attending a community college and high school.  Katie is an amazing young lady, she has a huge heart and is a determined student.  This is what makes her the Raddest 2014 Grad !"

WOW!  You see what I mean?  How could I NOT pick this young gal?!

You're stunning, you're bright, you're talented, but most important of all, you have the biggest heart that I've ever seen.  Katie, keep being fabulous!  And thanks for the honor of photographing you!
